And we're back to where we left off at the end of the third chapter! As you can see, there's a lot of tension and a lot is about to take place in the next couple pages.
The soldier pointing at the tower in the bottom panels is one of our Kickstarter backers named Gregory LaFael! He will be appearing a couple more times in the upcoming pages :)
And finally, it looks like Google Reader will be shutting down soon, unfortunately. For all of you who use it to subscribe to Aikonia's RSS feed (among plenty of other RSS feeds), we will try to find and recommend alternative RSS feed readers for you to use in the future.

Hello everyone!
So, as you probably noticed, we're taking a short break. We're not sure how long it's going to last, but we'll try to keep it as short as possible.
We're taking this break because we want to give our new illustrator some time to polish the art and build a buffer so he can work on the pages at a comfortable pace. When we return, the artwork will be much improved and everything will be awesome.
Until then, enjoy the holiday season if it's something that you do, check back regularly for updates, and have a wonderful week!

So we've read the comments you left us on the last page and we really appreciate the feedback. We understand that some of you feel that Jared's art work may not live up to Katie's work or that we've made a mistake with our choice of new illustrator but I assure you that this is not how we feel. Jared is Aikonia's new illustrator, not Aikonia's new "Katie." You can not expect him to illustrate the exact same way as Katie did.
Change is often something that requires time to adjust to. This applies to both you, our readers, and Jared, our new illustrator. His style will evolve over time and will definitely become more solid the more experience he gains.
We've taken some of your comments into consideration and we've edited the last page. We will continue to incorporate them in the upcoming pages.

As you can see, chapter 4 has a slightly different art style, and that's because it's illustrated by our new illustrator, Jared Markley!

This page marks the end of chapter three! We were hoping to get this page up on the week of halloween, but it looks like we miscalculated!
Also, for those of you that were affected by hurricane Sandy, we hope you managed to make it through okay and that your family and friends are alright as well. We offer our deepest condolences to all those who had a hard time this past week.
And, finally, we are sad to announce that this third chapter of Aikonia is the last chapter that Katie illustrated. We will be taking the next week off to prepare for chapter four with a new illustrator and we will be posting guest pages during the week off as per usual.
