Hmm.. meaty comic this week. Solaris dies at the hands of Ariel, surprising no one. Fodder- I meant the knights and warriors are still alive for now. Gwynne continues to want to kill people. Enceladus becomes king of the mages or whatever now that he is the only council member not down with a case of the dead. Ariel becomes more horrifying.

Also, more fuel for my theory that Cyril is invincible, considering this is like the 4th or 5th time we've been left with a "Is Cyril dead?" cliffhanger and then he just brushes the whole thing off the next page.

And I'm betting this is just going to be a big fight between everyone. And by that, I mean Ariel is going to slaughter half of them, gravely injure the other half, and then someone is going to stab Ariel in the back with the magic bloody spike, Isildur style. but this may still be the prequel to something much larger, much like most RPGs or Star Wars: a big evil entity takes over and then enslaves group of people/humanity after destroying the current leadership, whos survivors become some resistance force struggling against it, often displaced to the harshest/least habitable location around: ie hoth. - i think we all doubt Ariel is going to go down within this chapter. i am just hoping for a sweet-ass last-hope-for-humanity fortress within the other plane.

i still have no idea why she intended for the portal to be made, especially if she planned on simply killing solaris - unless she needed a tiny spike of crystal tree for her nefarious gardening plans. Posted on October 29th, 2012 at 05:22AM

And even if they do get Ariel, the portal is still open and the king guy is still getting ready to attack the school. I mean, Monster Ariel was summoned - imagine what else could come through that portal un-summoned.

Then there's the notion that Monster Ariel has "dropped all pretense of humanity," but she's got a weakness - I think those dreams she was having are going to play into this somehow.

unless the whole webcomic is just supposed to be an insanely elaborate setup for world lore in the game, which happens after all the 'fun' events... and to make things worse, the character starts off with amnesia and a creepy professor asking us our ASL.
