Hello everyone!
I was distracted by the Oscars and it almost made me forget to post today's page! D:
Oh, also, I am moving to Alberta on the 27th of February, so there MIGHT not be a page next Monday. It really depends on whether or not I will have internet setup there before then.
Thank you and have a great week! :D

Ahh, I see now. The young mage is Solaris and the baby...well we all know who she is. Seems this might be why the creature is so strong. It has the last true Life Mage as a host. Posted on February 25th, 2013 at 12:32AM Reply

*patpat* it's alright. Not everyone is as learned as we few who watch- er *ahem* research many many clichéd plots on tv. Posted on February 25th, 2013 at 11:06AM

I\'m a reply! replied:
It's hard to run around on fire screaming when you're dead. I suppose if they had like life magic or something they might (if life magic => necromancy), but we all know what happened to those guys.

On another note: I really like this new artist. If that *is* Ariel, I can totally recognize her immediately. Posted on February 25th, 2013 at 11:21AM

It's because everyone is dead and piled up in the middle of the village. Did you not notice the pile of dead bodies in the last two pages? Posted on February 25th, 2013 at 11:37AM

In the last comment thread we were all discussing who the crying child might be. Most theorized that it was Ariel. Posted on February 26th, 2013 at 12:52PM

So, Solaris saves a girl at a young age, only to sacrifice her decades later?
Solaris, what HAPPENED to you?! That's just sad, man. Posted on February 26th, 2013 at 12:04PM Reply

Well, she DID spurn his love...

...Solaris is all kinds of creepy, huh? Falling for a girl that he saved from a burning fire a decade later, then sacrificing her for a demon on the off-chance demon-her might like him better.

Seriously. WTF. Posted on February 28th, 2013 at 06:16AM

Tsapki replied:
Alot can happen in a couple decades as well.

Let's face it, whether Solaris likes it or not, he likely feels partly responsible for the murder of Ariel's people. Saving one life doesn't always slave that sort of guilt. So every day, he gets to see her and remember what he was privy to, relive the slaughter in his head and know that he just stood by while her family died. Maybe he told her, maybe she forgave him, maybe not.

In the end, time may heal wounds, but the scars remain. On both sides. Posted on February 28th, 2013 at 09:48AM

MattxAus replied:
Where did it say he loved her that way, if at all. Compassion, not passion.
Besides, he said he sacrificed her to the demon because she was the only suitable host, and she was snooping on him with Sid ( "killing two birds with one stone" ). The "demon" convinced him that it could solve the problem he was having with the Veil thinning (which was what Sid had found out and confronted Solaris about), but obviously the demon lied, instead opting to destroy/control the world faster. ~captain obvious awaaaaaayyyy *jetpack* Posted on March 6th, 2013 at 02:24AM

It was part of the bonus comic that came as part of the Kickstarter campaign. It revealed that Solaris and Ariel were kinda-sorta romatically involved, before she dumped him for... actually, I can't remember why, and I don't have the comic on-hand to reference. Him obsessing over something, if I remember correctly. Posted on March 6th, 2013 at 06:48AM
