Woo! 500 likes on Facebook! Thanks a lot everyone, we'll be putting up some free goodies sometime soon =D

We released the cast page this week, if you haven't seen it yet, check it out right HERE! Tell us what you think =)
Also, if you noticed small numbers on the archive page, those represents the number of comments each page has. We added that recently and we'll soon be making changes to the comments page! So keep an eye out for this!

There's also some new artwork up on the Project Velyria development blog, check it out HERE!

Wooooow, crackling lights all over the place @___@ And if she was the second oldest council member right after Solaris, maybe he's doing it partly to secure his title as leader? o: I want a time-machine so it can be monday again. And that's a great cast page! I like the way the discriptions appear x3 Posted on November 29th, 2010 at 12:59AM Reply

I know this is a serious, dramatic, and a possible sad moment, but Ariel's face kinda comical in the sixth panel. Maybe I'm just too used to seeing Katie's drawings used for comedy. Posted on November 29th, 2010 at 02:14AM Reply

Is there supposed to be an actual translation to the runes or is it supposed to be the gibberish i'm translating it to be? Posted on November 29th, 2010 at 02:50AM Reply

@Tabbies: I think it says: "If you can read this - you have way too much free time" ;) just a guess, though. Posted on November 29th, 2010 at 02:56AM Reply

I checked out the cast page. Kind of annoying that every character has a long robe and hood. I know it's a uniform of sorts but they still look like big purple blobs. Posted on November 29th, 2010 at 03:42AM Reply

Adoring the comic so far. :D I like the design of Ariel, too. I'm actually pretty glad that the whole comic is Katie's style, cause if it were some sort of anime thing, I don't think I could stand Ariel. ^^; I'm not sure why, but this situation with a woman in an anime style would really tick me off. I dunno. Love this, though! <3 Posted on November 29th, 2010 at 02:19PM Reply

I agree with Saralog. The suspense is KILLING me. My thoughts on the Cast page: I'd personally prefer having the description--or at least the name and maybe class-- pop up with the portrait and not have to click another button to see it. I like how big the portraits are, though; plenty of detail (of their blobby purple robes, as someone else mentioned). Maybe you could organize the characters into groups (Council Mages, Lower Magi, etc.) even though everybody but Cyril is on the council. Also, where are the soldier dudes? Bossman what's-his-face has as much of a part as Cyril currently, yet he's not on the Cast page! Posted on November 29th, 2010 at 09:42PM Reply

I fully agree with Furry321. >.O As for the cast page, well, at least they have clearly different faces, all of which are more -or-less a reflection of their personality. :) I know that I'm not the best with names and faces, and despite them all wearing the same robes, hopefully the cast page will help. It gives nice description without giving spoilers. :) Posted on November 29th, 2010 at 10:16PM Reply

In regards to the cast page, you should totally rename Enceladus... SALADFACE. Get it? In-salad-us. SALAD. HILARIOUS. CAPSLOCK!

But on a more serious note, it's nice to see a webcomic that isn't driven by a weekly joke. I love a good story and this is a great one so far.

To paraphrase Keith Johnstone:

Funny story: When I opened this page today, I immediately recognized that writing as Dragon Script... I have too much time on my hands.

Anne Beeche replied:
It's actually the futhark (or futhorc to us Anglo-Saxon speakers), a runic alphabet that was used to write the Germanic languages before the Romans came around and messed everything up.

The Dwarf Runes in the Hobbit, and the Dragon Script you speak of are borrowed from the futhark (or futhorc in the case of the dwarf runes). Posted on December 4th, 2010 at 07:45PM

Sounds more to me like she's being used to summon greater magical power. She might appear in-game so I'm assuming she's going to be crippled or something I don't know. It doesn't sound like a character that appears on the artwork page is bound to die...

Either way, I'm seriously wondering what's the big reason evil old guy MUST show off his awesome awesomeness. Posted on December 4th, 2010 at 11:37PM

Brian replied:
I forgot to mention Solaris said and I quote: "She'll live."

He then proceeds to vaguely refer to his vaguely evil plans. Then he draws out some weird smoke and then inserts it into her body which for some reason caused a lot of light and lightning to emerge. Then I came in here and replied to you. Then the Monday page will appear. Posted on December 4th, 2010 at 11:41PM

I'm sure somebody already noticed this by now (probably not), but those look EXACTLy like jumbled up Uruk runes from The Lord of The Rings. Like those found at the front of the book: The Hobbit. Posted on December 6th, 2010 at 01:08AM Reply

Elvende Dagaz replied:
The runes from The Hobbit are dwarven runes not uruk runes.

The runes used here appear to be a mix of Elder and Younger Futhark runes, they don't really say anything though, just nonsense.
