Hello everyone!
I would just like to point out that from now on, Aikonia pages will be posted on Mondays around 1PM EST rather than at midnight EST on Sundays!
Have a wonderful week!

One of my favourite parts of working on a comic is doing little bits of body language for each character, tiny things like Kat sticking her tongue out (which she's done in past pages), or the way Yegir pulls up a chair and lounges in it with his hair flipped over the back while Wall hunkers down cross-legged on the floor (also recurring). Trying to think about how a particular character takes up space and moves.

There was a page a while ago that I had a really fun time with in this regard -- Chapter 4, Page 29 -- where there was a panel with everyone running, and I tried to give everyone a different style for their run. If we'd had this neat blurb system back then, I would have commented at the time, but hey, why not -- I saved an in-progress shot from that panel, so here it is! Kat's almost done getting her inks cleaned up, Yegir still has his sketch showing under the in-progress inks, and Wall's all sketch. You can see where Kat's even changed a bit from sketch to inks, with her arms and legs stretched out further for a bigger contrast from Wall, who's more tucked in -- her sketch is faintly visible still. Anyway, thought folks might find it interesting to see!
Check out the panel!

I like to THINK he put EXAGERATED EMPHASIS on seemingly RANDOM words during normal CONVERSATIONS, yelling LOUDLY at STRANGERS. Posted on November 20th, 2013 at 04:26AM

Maybe it's a brilliant anagram riddled into his journal through the use of capitalized words? Posted on November 20th, 2013 at 02:50PM
