Hello everyone!

This page marks the end of Chapter 5! We'll be taking two weeks off while we work on Chapter 6, although we suggest you keep checking the comic and our social networks as we will be posting guest pages! We will also be announcing some very exciting news before Chapter 6 begins!
And, of course, don't forget that we will still be posting journal entries every Thursday!

I think the image could have been done better. with the portal not taking the whole height of the image, it really looks off. it's like they could just walk around the portal and end up in Magicka anyway. it's probably because the colors of the floors of the two places are very similar. I agree with the comment from fdbgnhb. The artwork done for this comic has drastically gone down in quality since Katie left. I actually haven't been keeping up with the comic because of the quality of the art. I came back recently to see if perhaps it has improved, but I feel it's gone the opposite direction. Ira is working just as hard as they were the day they joined. You have to keep in mind that we're pushing those pages out every week despite all of our extremely busy schedules. In case you aren't aware, I run a company and am leading the game development community here in Edmonton, which literally means I get to sleep maybe three hours a day at most if I'm lucky.

A while back, Ira had to deal with a lot of health and family-related issues, while those may have affected their work and time management, it in no way means that they are working less hard. We are doing our best to provide a comic for our readers to enjoy FOR FREE and we are working really hard to try and tell the story that we want to tell.

Running a webcomic is a lot more work than you think and it is costing us a lot of money, yet we still do it despite it being a money sink for us. So please, if you do not enjoy the art work, that is fine, feel free to share your opinion, but you have absolutely no right to assume that Ira is not working as hard as they possibly can.

By the way, going on a tyrade with your readers like that is rude and unprofessional (IE emphasizing 'For Free' would insinuate that you could be charging us which is quite pretentious) when they were just providing constructive criticism. I get having medical issues, but sometimes you need to think of your business.

I think you missed the point entirely. I was defending my team and friends. Readers are being rude to Ira, claiming they are not working as hard as they can be despite not knowing any context, and requesting we switch artist. That is not constructive criticism, that is just bashing an artist that is working really hard, and I will not stand idly by as they treat my team members like this.

Please do not bother commenting, or even reading this comic, Perske, if you are incapable of actually appreciating the amount of work and effort that goes into it.
