Hello everyone!
This week was supposed to be a guest strip week. A lot of you contacted us to let us know that you'd be willing to draw a guest page, but unfortunately, only one of you actually sent us a page, and that's not enough to have a guest strip week :(
In other news, we made some changes to the site's paging system. They're now organized by chapters and you can see that on the archives page :)
We added three new members to the cast page! Go take a look! We also added some new sharing features at the bottom of the page. You can now easily share on StumbleUpon and Twitter!
Finally, don't forget that you can support us by donating! When that progress bar reaches $100, we'll release some new free goodies, and if you donate over $5, you receive an exclusive PDF that contains the sketches for the first thirty pages of the comic (drawn by Katie Tiedrich) and Cyril's report (the one he reported on page 7).
Thank you! And we hope you enjoy Chapter Two! :D

I'm pretty sure Ariel knows more about Magicka then the teacher does :P Posted on June 6th, 2011 at 01:18AM ReplyAnnie Moose said:
Cyril was a Binder, I remember that much (and just double-checked on the cast page). Would the council members all be Binders, I wonder? It seems that Binders would be the most powerful, but the "class" of the council mages has never really been discussed yet. Posted on June 6th, 2011 at 01:32AM ReplyShadowdragoonftw replied:
I highly doubt being a Binder is a prerequisite to being on the Council. More likely, with the amount of talent that a binder has, making it on the Council will be easier. But, you have to remember, like any society of its type, there is much more to take into account than simply raw power as to who is the right fit for the job. True, but apparently having talent is pretty much the key to being in the Council. Syd was the youngest member of the council and he was accepted because he had so much talent. I'm sure that the rest of them are highly talented to and that's what got them into the Council. Posted on June 8th, 2011 at 02:14PMRynfyre replied:
I was actually thinking the same thing, rereading these older posts. Really interested to see when/if the Council will get in on using more than just basic magic and, if so, which kind of magicians they'll be. I know we saw Enceladus using basic magic to light/snuff candles, and Solaris used his uber-magic-powers to possess Ariel, but does that make them casters, necessarily? Hmmmmm... If these chapter had name, this one would be "Chapter 2: All the Crazy Stuff from Chapter 1 explained" Posted on June 6th, 2011 at 08:36AM ReplyBrian replied:
No. It would be "Chapter 2: More Crazy Stuff to Contradict the Stuff from Chapter 1." Posted on June 6th, 2011 at 07:30PMBowee the Cat said:
The best part about returning from a long trip is all the pages in rapid succession! Glad to be reading again, and eager to learn more of the magic~ Posted on June 6th, 2011 at 10:30PM ReplyBowee the Cat replied:

So, are we getting the rigid rules of magic that will be contradicted the very next page? Posted on June 7th, 2011 at 09:00AM ReplyBrian replied:
Now, it doesn't necessarily contradict itself. It'll just be confusing at worst, and then be explained in potentially a way that someone may misinterpret it and fan the flames of trolling. Posted on June 7th, 2011 at 10:05PMFWT replied:
Isn't that how it goes with anything in fiction when it gets explained. Even the best usually have at least one contradiction, if they are not so complicated that its impossible to properly get the rules given. Posted on June 8th, 2011 at 08:57PMFantasia said:
Haha. I had to re-read the entire comic to understand who might be channelers or casters and who might be both. It all makes sense now! Posted on June 8th, 2011 at 02:16PM ReplyBowee the Cat replied:

Kind of a shame i was the only one to submit a guest comic. i hope that other people make some, too. i don't think mine's all that great (or even funny), so i would like it if there were other guest comics to hide that fact :P Posted on June 10th, 2011 at 03:48PM ReplyKjakings said:
Ariel looks paler than normal... Do you think this demon-thing has been taking very good care of her body? Posted on June 11th, 2011 at 03:43PM ReplyBum said:
Actually took time to read through it all now, and I certainly didn't regret it. The story is hooked to my mind now!One thing I noticed with the speech bubbles though: Since some bubbles remove the panel frame, panels on top of each other can have somewhat misleading dialogue as the reader instinctively continues reading directly below, as the bubble appears to continue there. Page 38 is an example of this. Posted on June 12th, 2011 at 03:51AM Reply
