Maybe he just talked it over with the other council guys, and they're chill now. I dunno.

Yes, Ira did a great job with this: if you imagine they are all starting to channel at the same time, but we look at each person one at a time, when they first start their eyes are normal (looking at Solaris), then look at Callisto and his eyes are starting to go white, etc, etc. Posted on May 10th, 2013 at 10:07AM

The prime issue from page 1 is still around - the veil is becoming thinner and thinner, eventually the two planes of existence will merge if the mages keep pulling energy through it, the veil. The demon was only summoned because it promised (lied) to Solaris that it would help after he summoned it.

Meanwhile, because of all the shenanigans of Ariels demon, the royal army and its leaders, who were waryily suspicious of the mages to begin with, are about to engage in full out war - last we saw of them was them right outside the academy, watching the fight on the tower.

On top of that, there is an active portal between the two realms, which anyone can get through, assuming they can deal with the two green gargoyley demon hounds. Posted on May 11th, 2013 at 11:00AM
