Hey, everyone! Tim here!
I wanted to tell you about a little experiment I'm doing this year where I make an entire game - from start to finish - each month, every month! It's called, appropriately enough, Tim's 1-Game-a-Month Project!
The idea is to sort of hone my craft, try new things, pick up new ideas, see them out and experiment - all without allowing the development of a project to drag on and bog down for months and months. Each month I'll be coming up with a brand new game idea - nothing that I've already been working on, or thinking about - and at the end of the month, wherever it's at, I'm releasing it to the world.
I'll also be blogging about each game's development cycle, sharing thoughts and ideas to kind of show how the game is shaping up - and I'll share various development builds so you can see the evolution of the game from idea to published form.
I'll most likely be using HaxeFlixel for all of the games during this experiment, because it's amazing and easy to use and will allow me to easily publish for Web (Flash), Windows, and Android platforms.
Each of the games I complete during this experiment will also be 100% free, and open-source, so you can look at the code, fork the repo on GitHub and mess around with it, if you want. The goal here is to just get lots of games made so I can see the process through to the end enough times to be comfortable with it, so that when this year is up and I have 12 new complete games finished, I can jump into a new project which will take all the awesome ideas, concepts, and wisdom I've learned and make something amazing!
So, check out my 1GAM Site and/or follow my Tumblr to keep up with my progress, and be sure to try out the first of my Game-a-month games from February: Meat Bags!

Hello everyone!
I hope you had a great weekend! This past Saturday, I participated in a thirteen-hour livestream event with other team members working on Project: Velyria. If any of you dropped by, I'd like to thank you for the support! For those of you interested in Project: Velyria, but did not get the chance to chat with us and watch us work, we'll be posting highlights from the stream on our Youtube channel some time later this week.
Until then, enjoy today's page and have a wonderful week!

Ahaha! I love the transition of the characters' poses between panels 1 and 2. Brilliant! Posted on March 10th, 2014 at 02:59PM ReplyIra replied:
Thanks very much! That was both tricky and fun to do -- I'm glad you like the result! Posted on March 10th, 2014 at 03:37PMErictheTolle said:

Did I miss something? What happened to his arm between panels 1 and 2? Posted on March 12th, 2014 at 02:31AM ReplyTim replied:
Wolves. We've been in Story/Flashback mode since Chapter 4, Page 34: http://aikoniacomic.com/page/173Do try to keep up! ;) To be fair, it's kind of weird to have it so long in flashback-mode. Posted on March 12th, 2014 at 12:45PM

It took me a while to get the transition of the flash back...perhaps in the future you could indicate the flash back with a visual cue
like black and white, sepia , altered borders, or deviation in the general style.
however, great work! and I still can't get enough of the wide angel panel you did last time! Posted on March 15th, 2014 at 03:49PM Reply

To Tim: I don't think it's that weird since the majority of this comic as of now is still flashback XD Posted on March 16th, 2014 at 11:45AM ReplyTim replied:
