I got confused a while ago on the same point - That was a flashback where they were exploring some ruins, in those ruins, they found a letter explaining to the castle lord that his son had been shipped off to a magic academy, and died there, so here they are, on the hunt for said magic academy, to find loot and accidentally uncask some ancient evil on the world, and destroy the barrier between worlds. accidentally. I don't know if it's good or bad but I blazed through the entire archive in just a week, I was just absolutely enthralled by the characters and story. I simply cannot hang on one comic week by week, it's just too juicy a story!

Question though, who's drawing the story now if not awkward zombie's katie?
