So it seems Syd was too close to whatever's going on behind the scenes, and had to be dispatched before he got his hands on the report and put two and two together, but Solaris figured, "Hey, might as well see if he's suitable for being possessed, first." Well we got the answer as to why Solaris didn't want Syd heading the investigation. He wanted someone on his side to have all the information. Man he is such a jerk. Wait, Syd actually was doing progress on the plot without even knowing about it? This means Syd was more than capable of making that project. That aside, that must mean the weird wolf we saw at the start was indeed from or directly affected by the magic plane. Okay, one thing I was kind of confused about upon reading this page: didn't the council already hear Cyril's report? At the very least, Enceladus and Mars should already know what it was essentially about. He presented it to the council and that's what made Ariel say if it were true it would change everything.
