Hello everyone!
We've had a very hectic week! Working on MADSOFT Connect, Project: Velyria, and transferring Aikonia to our regular MADSOFT server.
We've been working really hard to make sure everything is perfect, so expect a lot from MADSOFT Connect really soon. Not only will we be releasing the achievement system, custom avatar system, and avatar shop, but you'll also be able to use your MADSOFT Connect account to comment on Aikonia and earn achievements!
We're also not sure if we'll do the progress bar idea we got for Aikonia. We're working on it, but Katie already works really hard on keeping up and drawing both our and her comic. So we're not sure if she'd be able to draw an extra Aikonia page per week, in case you DO fill the bar every week, without her burning out :/
We'll keep it on the back-burner and we'll see where it goes later on.
For now, have a nice week! :D

I wonder if Mar and Enceladus will still want to oppose Solaris, after this. Posted on March 21st, 2011 at 03:10PM Reply

The Veil sounds like it's the wall between their world and Magika so could Solaris and Possessed Ariel be planning to tear the Veil down completely? This comic is so great. I can't wait for the next page! :D Posted on March 21st, 2011 at 03:21PM Reply

I knew it. X3 I figured they were reaching through too much since I first read, oh, page 6. Nice to see that it didn't take long for them to figure it out, at least. Good boys. Good, smart boys. :3

Not really sure what to expect next (other than them trying to figure out how to fix the problem, of course). Now to sit back in curiosity for awhile. Anyone want popcorn? Posted on March 21st, 2011 at 11:10PM Reply

The Veil seems to be the very barrier which separates the normal realm with the magical realm, Magicka. In some way, the other realm seems to be overflowing with power and at the same time with things that are better off staying there.

Seems like the barrier is being broken as magic is over-used... Posted on March 21st, 2011 at 11:37PM Reply

Speculating here
Thes magic users, they draw their power from Magika, yes?
So, if the Veil were to go, they'd be able to have nigh limitless power?
Sounds like the kind of thing Solaris would do; he seems the power-hungry type
I can identify with that Posted on March 22nd, 2011 at 11:23AM Reply

Brian replied:
Yeah, but the problem in that lies in that realm bringing in dangers. First of all, it appears as though too much magic power ends up being maddening, like the beast we saw in the first few pages. Apparently even though magic is useful, too much is harmful.

Secondly, it looks like there are some things that are better off kept inside Magicka. Right now I'm not sure, but all I can say is that Solaris probably knows that. Posted on March 22nd, 2011 at 06:26PM

Fantasia replied:
Hey! Does anyone else remember when Solaris was telling Syd the he had "barely touched" the power of magic and he didn't know what "true power" was like? This is just an educated guess but I think that Solaris knows about the Veil being torn. Just, y'know, maybe a little bit. Posted on March 22nd, 2011 at 08:42PM

Brian replied:
Most likely.

However since there are consequences for too much magical power, I'm assuming it's a bit more different to use the true power of magic, maybe some sort of different process. Posted on March 23rd, 2011 at 08:34PM

Isn't the Veil from Dragon Age? You know, the strip of magic that seperates (screw spelling) us from the Fade? Well I guess it could be from more than one thing, but OH WELL just pointing it out. Posted on March 22nd, 2011 at 09:57PM Reply

Lol @ the unintended game references. Don't you hate it when that happens?
In a story I made, I unintendedly had similarities with Infernal (game), Soul Eater (japanese anime), and Spawn (Marvel comic). Hundreds of people were bitching about it later, yet I had no knowledge about them while making the story.

But I'm talking nonsense, it's your comic that matters right now. Let's see... Interesting story, pretty nice art... yeah, I like it. Keep it up. Posted on March 25th, 2011 at 12:33AM Reply
