Sorry we took so long, but the page is finally shaded properly and is now available for your viewing pleasure!
This page marks the end of Chapter 6. We have some really big plans for Chapter 7 and we can't wait to share them with you!

That is to say, I find Kat's characterization very inconsistent. The pirate's too, but he doesn't get as much screen time so it's not as blatant. I'm very interested in the world of Aikonia and the lore behind it, but I'm finding the characters in the story proper (vs the prequel in the academy) to be either inconsistent or flat. I'm also having some difficulty with the plot. The look on Kat's face isn't that of someone who is furious or betrayed; it is that of someone who is apprehensive and is desperately trying to figure out what should be done next.Regardless, why are they going to Malleck? The pirate is probably one of the top 10 magic experts in the world, and that's not considering that he is the only one they can talk to without going 4 weeks to find someone. He should have a better understanding. While it looks like they already tried to figure it out with the pirates info it doesn't explain why malleck is their next choice. I didn't mean to insult or offend anyone, my apologies if I did. I was just speaking my mind, and while I should have given more thought to the way I said it, I had no intention to be condescending or anything. The artists know what they're doing and whatever they do will most likely be fine. I just didn't want to see this comic (which is one of my favorites) fall into oblivion or anything.Now that I'm thinking about it in depth that will most likely not happen, I've probably just been browsing the comments section too much. He's one of the original members of the adventurer crew. That page does need updating, but we won't be removing characters that were considered main characters, even if they died.It's the same with Syd, he didn't do much and died very early in the story, but he's still featured among the council members. Thank you for the suggestions :)Although you have nothing to worry about, we've clearly stated on the Patreon page that the milestone will bring along a new journal series and that series will be available to patrons one month before being posted on the Aikonia website. This just means that non-patrons will be about 4 pages behind our patron supporters, that's all.

It's "Georgia" set to italic :)For future reference: (If you're using Chrome) you can right click on on text and click on "Inspect" to open up the source code in the inspector. yeah, learn to use the developer console, it's very useful for non-developers too. like, on those sites that block an entire page with a modal dialog to force you to do something (like registering) in order to continue to read, you can press F12 (may be Fn+F12) to open the console, select the elements blocking the page and hit Del to remove them. I've been reading this comic since it started. Back then it was supposed to be a promotion for a videogame that apparently was being designed. Not only did such a videogame never arrive (failed project I imagine), but now even the comic seems to have been on a terminal stage for 1 or 2 years. Actually, we posted this page on November 4th, 2016. The comic has been on hiatus for 5 months, not "1 or 2 years." We've all been very busy with our personal lives, so working on the 7th chapter of Aikonia is impossible right now, unfortunately, but we've been posting the new journal series on Patreon every Thursday.As for the game: We've posted several times about it either in blurb entries, on social media, or on our blog throughout the years. It was moved to the back-burner when the comic grew in popularity and became its own thing. We transferred the comic’s ownership to the Aikonia team (Corina, Karina, Ira, and myself) in an attempt to separate it from MADSOFT and not have the company interfere with the comic.
When the Aikonia game project is eventually brought back, MADSOFT will indeed be in charge of developing and publishing it, but it will no longer be what it originally was. The comic is now leading the charge and the game will be based on the comic and its universe, rather than the comic being nothing more than promotional media for the game.
We're sorry that we can't put our lives on pause or magically fix whatever obstacles are in our way for the sake of providing you with *completely free* comics. We're all just extremely busy trying to get and 'keep' our lives in a stable place, whether it be via our day jobs, personal responsibilities, and/or managing the gauntlet that is the US government assistance programs -- that last one is specifically only me, though! I'm not sure if we wrote a blurb entry or blog post about that but it's pretty simple actually. After joining the team, some personal stuff came up that kept him really busy. We delayed the comic for a bit so he could get things sorted but, soon after, he decided to throw in the towel.I'm sure he had his reasons and he felt really bad about it, but we never held that against him! Illustrating Aikonia can be a lot of work and requires a lot of dedication, and we completely understood that he had too much on his plate to stay on board. Yeah, I looks pretty dead, or at the very least abandoned. The last journal page was posted like 2 months ago.They do have a Patreon Page, but i don't know how often they update there.
But even so, I don't see how you can grow a community when there is complete silence.
