This page was simultaneously great and a huge pain to work on. I love being able to really spread out a bit and give a scene some depth and room to breathe, but good lord I think there must be at least 300 books in this scene. Oh my god. It was certainly an experience, and I hope you folks enjoy the resulting page!

I don't really have much to talk about, although I did want to quickly mention that MADJAM 2015 is hosting this year's Global Game Jam in Edmonton, Alberta. So if you happen to live in the area and you are a developer, artist, animator, writer, composer, or work in any other field that can be applied to game development, I would highly recommend you sign up!

Long time with no word from me! I know I tend towards the quiet side, but I always appreciate Aikonia's readers and supporters, and love seeing the comments you folks have on the comic.

Many of you wished me well when I had to take a break for health reasons earlier this year, and I wanted to shout out some thanks to everyone who sent well wishes, everyone who continues to follow the comic, and to Aikonia readers in general -- y'all have been awesomely supportive and a great audience to work for.

Last year's holiday illustration featured Aikonia's adventurers reinterpreted as characters from the Charles Dicken's classic "A Christmas Carol."

Since we had a distinctly Christmas-themed illustration last year, this time around we wanted to represent another, sometimes overlooked, holiday. We want to make sure all our readers feel included, no matter the traditions they celebrate (or do not celebrate) at this festive time of year. That being said, we hope you enjoy this special Hanukkah-themed Aikonia illustration.
